EdgeRouter X SFP

The EdgeRouterTM X developed by Ubiquiti Networks is part of the EdgeMAX technology. It provides a high level of flexibility through a very competitive cost, carrier-class reliability, and a particularly compact design. This model is equipped with a passive 24V PoE which allows it to deliver data to several devices at the same time:

  • The NanoBeam ac
  • The UniFi G3 Dome video camera
  • The UniFi AP AC LR and the computer

It is possible to connect multiple ER-X devices to the Internet and to three OSPF zones of the service provider’s network. These devices can also be fiber-powered.

Printing is a process for mass reproducing text and images using a master form or template.

Data are units of information, usually numeric, that are collected through observation.

Phone is short for telephone, meaning the instrument used to call others.

PoE Versatility

The ER-X-SFP requires an external power supply unit. This model has five RJ45 Gigabit ports. Each of them supports a passive 24V PoE output for airMAX or UniFi devices. It is also equipped with an SFP port that provides fiber connectivity for backhaul applications.

Intuitive User Interface

EdgeRouter X’s graphical user interface facilitates both setup and control. It can be accessed at any time from any web browser or network port on the device. The user-friendly design allows intuitive management of the entire network. If you want to access detailed statistics on a particular port, the dashboard displays :

  • IP information
  • MTU
  • Send and receive speeds
  • Status for each physical and virtual interface
