Konica Minolta Onyx Pro

In the past couple of years, 3D printing has become an indispensable manufacturing and design tool for many businesses. The Onyx 3D printers are the most cost-effective introduction to the world of 3D printing regardless of if you’re an engineer or designer. However, the new Onyx Pro takes 3D printing and prototyping up several notches. It enables users to print beautiful and durable carbon components directly from their desk in a matter of minutes. The ‘Pro’ version printer gives users numerous unique 3D printing capabilities that are hard to find in other 3D printers of the same size and price.

The Onyx Pro enables users to create a myriad of components which can be used in a variety of application, thanks to the power of Onyx, a material that’s made with bits of short carbon fibre. However, Onyx Pro’s unique selling point amongst others is its second nozzle that’s used to print using continuous fibreglass, allowing for users to build composite parts using fibreglass only.

Top Onyx Pro Features

Uses Strands of Onyx
3D printed objects using regular 3D printers aren’t as sturdy as they should be, which makes them impractical for many applications. However, the Onyx Pro uses ‘Onyx’ a unique material that’s 3.5 times more stable and sturdier compared to nylon and offers an impressive black finish. Now, 3D printed prototypes and models can easily be used and tested extensively in any environment.

Turbo Print
Turbo Print is currently in Beta comes with all Onyx Pro purchases as part of the EIGER software that makes printing 3D models easy for everyone. However, Turbo Print takes the application one step further by combining the revolution in material quality with software allowing users to print parts they want without having to sacrifice resolution or quality of the surface.

Highest Quality, Reliable Parts

The EIGER software is the star of the show, offering a stable innovative and easy to use platform that reduces much of the work involved with printing a 3D model. The cloud-based EIGER software is always up to date, so there is no need for users to download updates. Almost any PC with browser capabilities can load a 3D print job into the cloud-based software. The Onyx Pro can then be controlled via a LAN capable connection, W-LAN or USB. Using the software users can manage and catalogue all their STL files.

EIGER is so easy to use that just about anyone can use it to tailor the interior of their structures and automatically furnish each layer in any given region of the 3D asset to be printed. Fibre density is easy to change per layer by merely moving a slider in the software; this allows users to design perfect components. It is also possible to pause the printing process so that parts can be embedded within the model. The ability to pause printing of an asset makes it easier to integrate sensors, electronics or mechanical ball bearings into the components.

Composite 3D Printers

Markforged 3D printers are some of the MOST advanced 3D printing system available. You can economically print with advanced materials including nylon, chopped carbon fiber, reinforced continuous fiber, and metal.

Device Type 3D Printer

Easy to Operate and Maintain

The Onxy Pro has been built from the ground up to ensure that users can easily maintain as well as operate it. Parts that wear out like feed tubes and nozzles are easy to access and replace. The same goes for the print bed which can be removed and then replaced with another 10 μm bed.
