The UniFi Controller

You can benefit from a management device that is both efficient and practical: the UniFi Controller software. This module offers personalized configuration and detailed monitoring functions. As a result, you can have the pulse of your network to react to every situation requiring your attention in less time. A clear and efficient graphical interface displays the data of all devices connected to the network. There are no extra software, licenses or support fees required.

The Unifi Switch 8 model is compatible with 802.3af/at PoE. It can be powered by a passive 48V PoE or by the supplied power adapter. The passive 48V PoE connection is supported at port 8. The latter can provide up to 12W of power when powered by:

  • An 802.3at PoE+ cable
  • A passive 48V PoE cable
  • The supplied power adapter

When powered by 802.3af PoE, the PoE output power may be less than 12W. The battery is connected to a power adapter that delivers up to 15.4W of power per port
